I have devoted this little page so you can get to know all my critters and people. Let me start with good ol Salvador. I got Salvador as a pup following a free puppy sign I saw on the road. It was during a period in my life where my boyfriend at the time was leaving- and taking our dog. So, I decided to go off and get one of my own. He’s a chow-Akita mix. Otherwise known as a chiquita. (lol) He’s an old man now. It’s hard to remember that when he was a pup, he ate two couches and a seat from my Honda.

ol man Salvador.
Who’s next? Well, ya gotta come back and see….
Meet SPIKE!
This is a very old pic of Spike~about 4 or so… but, the story behind Spike is, about 9 years ago, I had a bad habit of going onto the local pound’s website and see what dogs were there. It’s really bad, because it’s updated every 15 minutes with pics of assorted animals that may or may not be up for adoption. (Some are just lost, ya know…) Anyway, I saw this pic of a Boston Terrier, so I watched…and watched… no owner claimed him. So that meant he was up for surgery. I went in there daily to see how he was. The workers kept me updated and I got to know them pretty well. Apparently there were quite a few people waiting for Spike. I was told when his adoption day opened, to be the first to grab a number if I wanted him that bad. The bad part? Two doors were unlocked at the same time. So, when adoption day came- I packed a sandwich, a water bottle, mosquito spray, and a book. I got there 5 hours early. Still concerned of the two doors, I enlisted in my best friend (at the time) to stand at the other door. As the hours passed, more and more people showed up. some for Spike, some for other reasons. It was tense. People get weird about competition. (like me) Needless to say, Spike came home with me that day. It was just meant to be…..

people are talking…. are you?
