This is my mama’s pound cake. It’s soft, sweet, rich and melts in your mouth. I don’t make pound cake too much- I think it’s because I am cheap and hate to use all my eggs,sugar and butter on one thing. All you do is bring 1/2 c heavy cream , 3 tbs sugar and 1/4 c butter to a boil in a saucepan over med. heat. Stirring often. Remove from heat and add 2 c good quality chocolate (semi-sweet) these can either be chips or a chopped up bar. [...] |
