Do you ever watch Bravo’s Top Chef? I love cooking competitions, although sometimes they dress me out- right before bed and leave me with dreams about making salted caramel cookies under extreme pressure.

Last nights episode was one of the most creatively challenging- since they wrapped all of the ingredients in aluminum foil, and the contestants were told that if they opened the foil, then whatever is on the inside would have to be one of their ingredients. As if that wasn’t hard enough, the folks decided that the contestants would also have to cook their dishes in foil. It was like camp cooking under pressure. I won’t give away too much of the show, but I will tell you that there was a cake involved, (which totally impressed me).
Speaking of giveaways…. the nice folks at Bravo and Food and Wine have offered to give one of y’all (yes, you!) a free years subscription to Food and Wine magazine. It’s their way of saying happy holidays & thank you for watching their show.

My all-time favorite holiday dish is my Grandmother’s yellow squash and zucchini recipe. It’s healthful comfort food at it’s best, and of course it reminds me of my sweet Grandma Rose who has been gone for many years. This year I am making it for my family, which will be bittersweet as we lost my Dad a few months ago and this will be our first Christmas without him. His at peace with his Mom now.
I LOVE Top Chef. My favorite Holiday recipe is probably anything containing crab, especially a hot crab dip to eat with good crackers before dinner.
My favorite holiday recipe is definitely English Toffee!
I love top chef! My go to show when I’m at the gym. Never fails to make me hungry
I love eating anything warm and gingery, filled with molasses cookies. I can go for gingerbread men, but starting with warm artichoke dip!
I love green chile and cheese tamales…simple to prepare but so tasty.
I like divinity.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Buckeyes. YUM!
I love decorated cookies during the holidays! Fun to make and fun to eat…
Peppermint bark is my favorite holiday recipe.
How did I miss this? Hope I’m not too late. My favorite holiday recipe is new to me this year…cranberry biscotti.
