For the past few years, I have been trying to find that perfect stuffing… similar to my moms, but homemade. She’d always doctor up a box, which was yummy- but…. I wanted to think outside the box. (Hardy, har har)
One year, I made cornbread stuffing from scratch. It was so dry I need water to even think about it. Another year, I made a potato bread stuffing. Too soggy. I was beginning to feel like Goldilocks except with stuffing. 
I’m more of a “whole-berry” gal myself. But, there are times when you have guests that are more of can-o-jelled-sauce fans. Let’s face it… the can-o-jelled-sauce looks ugly. Let’s “Martha-it up”! Quick tip: Make sure your cutters aren’t too big. Ya don’t want a headless turkey, you know. I hope everyone has a blessed [...] 
tater tot casserole~ because tater tots rock.Tater tots are one of those foods that….well, they just rock. Now, I know they aren’t one of the world’s healthiest foods, but every once in awhile, it’s nice to have some good old tots. My husband loves having a hash brown casserole every Sunday for “soul food Sunday”. To be honest, I am sooooo tired of the hash brown casserole. So…. I invented something with a different frozen potato product. 
I made a pasta salad over the weekend. And, a seaside cake. But, since my last post was cake.. I thought I’d give you a break on cake. See how much I love y’all?!
Speaking of cake, I may attempt some of those cake pops later… we’ll see. I have a lot of leftover cake from leveling. Since we’re on the topic of sweets, let me tell you about my dream last night. Since I remember it right now, I probably won’t remember it in an hour. I was making a dessert for a contest of some sort… it was coconut, pralines and evaporated milk…baked up in a casserole. Seriously, I don’t know what on earth I was thinking…err dreaming when I made that last night in dreamland. But, my old boss’s mother in law liked it. Yeah, weird dream. 
German potato salad: (n)- the total opposite of your mama’s potato salad.
The other day, when I didn’t know what to make for dinner (again! ) my hubby requested my “German baked pork chops” , and I got to chose the side. I never made this type of potato salad before, but I thought it went well with the main dish, and I was too lazy to make spatzle.
