First of all, the photos here were done with my Canon point and shoot- long story, but- I am hoping to be back with Mr. Nikon very soon. ( we had a slight falling out) .

I wanted someting in the oven, and the hubby wanted Italian… sooooo

while I boiled up some spagetti, I browned some ground beef…

I put the cooked pasta in my trusty ol casserole dish, and spread a mixture of ricotta, an egg, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and parmesan on top….

then, put the meat on top- by the way, I seasoned up the meat with garlic, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, and oregano and basil.

top with sauce and cheese and bake at 400 till it looks like this…

goes good with bruschetta or a nice antipasto platter like this. Enjoy!

These are always very good. I never think to do it though! I like your addition of ricotta. I’m thinking it would work well with ziti, too.
