movies, anyone?

IMGP1079Hello folks! Countdown is on- next week is Turkey day…(or tofurkey day for some) So, this week I have a few treats for y’all. A movie ticket giveaway! Yay- don’t you love it when I clean out my wallet and find movie tickets I will never use? My hubby hates theatres, and I never seem to have the time to  go. So, I give them to you! They are 2 regal movie tickets, with NO EXPERATION DATE!

This gets me reminiscing seeing movies as a kid. My mom would smuggle in candy in her big 70’s purse/bag… which was super cool for me and my sis-the only problem? My mom would smuggle in her own snack, too. What’s wrong with that, you ask? It was hard-boiled eggs. So, my apologies to everyone that went to the movies in south Florida during the late 70s and early 80’s. I really hope your memories of E.T. and The Empire Strikes Back are not terribly jaded by the aroma of eggs.

To enter this contest- tell me your favorite movie and movie snack. Winner will be chosen at random Friday morning.  :)   Good luck guys!

  • Oh wow…how to choose a favorite. I’ve got a really solid top ten. Maybe a medley? Will that be okay? :D

Favorite snack is a medley as well. :D

Hot extra-buttered popcorn sprinkled with goobers

Thanks for the fun post and wishing you a great Monday!

  • Junior Mints! That is what I would purchase every weekend when we went to the Saturday morning movies at the Fox Theatre. I have so many favorites, depending upon the genre. So let’s just say Lord of the Rings trilogy, followed ever so closely by the Harry Potter series, and in 3rd place, anything with Will Smith.

Hmmm…I have lots of movies that I like but I’d have to say my favorite movie right now is a toss up between The Notebook and Marley and Me. Both are very heartwarming and “feel good” movies. Michelle, you would LOVE Marley and Me (watch it if you haven’t already!). Good family movie. My favorite movie snack would have to be Raisinets…the chocolate covered raisins! I used to eat the entire bag by myself and then feel sick afterwards. ha ha!! Now I have learned my lesson and I share with my hubby. :-)

Popcorn….you can’t go to a movie theater and not get popcorn!!!!
Grease…the best movie ever!!! It’s got everything you want in a movie, LOL!!
