I am still out of butter. I will be marketing soon…I am sure of it. Until then, I have this nice butter-less recipe to share. When I was a kid…. I would love chocolate ice cream soup- that is- melted chocolate ice cream. I was a weird kid; I likedto eat paste, too. And milk bones. And the crunchy fish food. And the bells you hang for the birds…the ones made out of birdseed… maybe I was a pet or two in a former life? Hmmm. Back to mousse. Very easy. BUT… you need a mixer. Either hand mixer or stand. I guess you could do it by hand, but it may be tiresome.
SIMPLY: Mix 2 tbs good cocoa, 1 c whipping cream,1/2 c powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla
until soft peaks form. Spoon into pretty dishes, chill about 20min and serve. You can spoon it into ugly dishes, too. (if you don’t have pretty ones) it tastes just as good.

Are you sure we aren’t twins separated at birth! I love, love, loved ice cream soup and I was always sneaking a milk bone from Sophie (our chihuahua mix). She liked to share.
And I laughed at your 1st sentence, and again at your last. Go buy yourself some butter, girlfriend and I got the ugly dishes covered! LOL!
(I now “get” the chocolate mousse reference on FB!)
After reading your list of things that tasted good to you as a child…are you SURE this recipe is better than that? (joke)
LOL! Coleen- Yes! It tastes like ice cream fluff!
Polly- I always told you that you’re my 3rd sister!
LOL! That looks yummy!
(stopping by from SITS!)
Yummmmmmmm. That doesn’t look at all like the cheap Jello mousse I’ve been buying in the containers because it’s only 50 calories or whatever! Yours looks sinfully delicious.
