Yippee! I found the recipe. Really, I don’t tend to lose recipes. Keys, on the other hand… I do lose. When that happens, I just stay home and bake.
They will turn up eventually.
So,in my random post yesterday I gave you highlights of the past few days in my little world. I am really excited about that tree. Hope she makes it… one day I want to drink lemonade and read a cookbook under her. And… just think of all the lemon things I can make???!!! Ooooo!
I also fell in total love with a cockatoo. Yep, her name is Coco. Her owner asked if I wanted her. It was his ex-wifes and he isn’t that “into” animals too much. I got to hold her and she just nugged right up on me and said, “Who are you?” I think that’s the only time where it is completely all right for a girl to cuddle up and ask” who are you?” and it be acceptable. So, I am working on the hubster to give the okay if the offer presents itself once more… (I have a feeling it will…) Wish me luck. Like I need more animals, lol.
Now, about these cookies:
They are real good. Really good. Mmm-hmmm.
Now if you’re not in the mood for sweets and looking for just something easy for dinner-don’t fret-I have main dish ideas coming this week. In the meantime, click on “main dish” over there and see what pops up!
man, there is something about cookie dough…
these are awesome to make because there is no scooping, slicing or arranging. You just pat it in the pan. I like lazy cookies.
They don’t let moms send homemade cookies to school for the class anymore where I live. That’s lame. Because these would make a 3rd grade class very hyper happy.
Here’s the recipe: (I am still trying to see how to make printables-as you may know, I am still learning all that computer stuff. If you have tips, please share!)
an update: I tinkered a bit during this post and I think I have it! Wooohooooo!
[print_this]
2 sticks softened butter
1 c white sugar
1 c light brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Beat the above ingredients until fluffy.
Add:
4 eggs
In another bowl, combine:
5 c flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
mix well and add to the butter mixture, then add 1 gag of chocolate chunks. I used a brand that starts with”B”.
Pat into a jelly roll pan or a 13x9x2 pan. I buttered mine and lined it with parchment. I ♥ parchment paper.
Bake at 375 for 17 minutes.
Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
I know… I had a hard time not eating one all hot n gooey, too. They just slice better that way. [print_this][/print_this]
