My name is Michelle Keith, I am a native Floridian who:
is left handed,
goes barefoot- a lot,
managed a health food store for 14 years,
and went to college at the same time…
(I had to wear shoes to do that part, though)
and….
I fish
I grow corals
I garden
I cook
I bake
I make messes
I ramble sometimes
I’m known to burn rice
and once I melted a sauce-pot.
(whoops)
Anyway….
I love:

my family
and life.
Now, about this site:
If you notice, there are two “names” here- but I’m just one person- I have my “domestic mama” side where all the domestic stuff is from- and my “village cook” side- where my cooking is. Instead of having two different sites, they are both together here.
I do my best to update daily- although this can happen at 5am or 3:42pm…or other odd times my toddler naps. Working on this site is one of my favorite things to do, so expect to new things often!
I love to cook and bake but I am not a pro- I am always learning. (aren’t we all?) I try to do recipes that anyone can do and I love to take photos of my creations -( still learning how to do that, too!) I don’t edit or mess with any of the photos here- I don’t feel it’s fair to y’all to see a yummy photo and get hungry over something that is fake or has been altered. What you see is what ya get here, folks!
More about me? Um… I am a mama and step mama, (girls, ages 3 and 9) I have 3 2 dogs, 1 parrot, 2 Bearded Dragons, 2 4 Reeves turtles, a giant tortoise and 6 box turtles- one of them I have had since I was 10. Eeek- that’s 24 25 26 years.
I also have a reef tank and a freshwater cichlid tank, and a tank with a frog that eats all my fish.
I only have one hubby, though. ( the hot fed ex guy! 
) One is enough.
I love to cook and create things- you name it- dinner, lunch, cookies, breakfasts, messes…and a nice website for all of my dear cyber friends.
If ya REALLY need dirt on me, I will toss in some segments from my life. Yep-running away, bad marriages, weird childhood, tons of critters and more. Because sometimes I get stuck in those periods where I just don’t feel like making much- I’m sure you know what I mean.
Above all, this site is a little escape for me, I plan what to make and post and take my camera everywhere to find entertainment for y’all. (see! I really love you guys!) I hope I am added to your favorites or bookmarks or whatever else ya fancy…and I hope this site can bring you a little bright moment in your day! Love, MK
